1980 - 2021
40+ years of Non-profit literacy services
The South Shore Reading Council has been providing non-profit literacy services since 1980. In those 40+ years, we have championed literacy tutoring, activities tailored for intellectually disabled adults,
a weekly pre-literacy music program for young families,
and inclusive programming for seniors.
Rachel Wagner Lemblé
Rachel has been with the South Shore Reading Council since 2017. She is a LOUD Librarian. In association with the SSRC, she has directed the Mother Goose Program for over a decade. She believes that literacy at all levels is less about rote learning and more about human connection.
Robin is the newest member of our staff. She brings to the Council her decades of experience as a librarian and program specialist. She's just as likely to be found singing to a group of toddlers as she is to be writing a demanding grant.
